Extra Brut

Sparkling wines made according to the traditional method, such as cava, can be classified according to the degree of sweetness provided by the expedition liqueur added at the time of disgorgement. In the case of Extra Brut cava, the sugar level is between 3 and 6 grams per liter. Extra Brut cavas are demanding in their elaboration, since sugars are not added after the slaughter and they are usually made with the best grapes. Highlights include caves such as Parxet Gran Reserva, Mont-Ferrant Gran Cuvée, Mont-Ferrant Berta Bouzy or Mont-Ferrant Agustí Vilaret.
