Agustí Vilaret (1820-1903), passionate champagne producer by vocation, possessing the hard-working tenacity of the founders. It was he who invented Mont-Ferrant and set out the general philosophy of the brand. Testimony to his work speaks of his painstaking attention to the problems that plagued all of the early producers (the fining of the wines, mass explosions of bottles in the cellars), and also of the champagne producer who was well informed as to the most modern machinery and tooling of his time, which he imported and installed in the cellars in Blanes.
Climatology: The proper vegetative development, and the low maturation process and the perfect balance between acidity and alcoholic degree made vintage 2008 excellent for cava elaboration.
